Scandinavian Partridge Cross Stitch Ornaments

These little cross stitch partridges originally hatched from a challenge posed by a very talented collective of needlework designers - ‘Our Common Thread’. The simplicity of Scandinavian design lends itself perfectly to Christmas and I thought it would be fun to create a ‘Pear in a Partridge’ ornament. It stands to reason that any self respecting partridge perched in a pear tree would have a nibble on the fruit!

The six individual ornaments are stitched on 14 count perforated paper, before being cut out and backed with white card or joined together to create three double sided ornaments which are hung from red ric-rac ribbon.

The kit contains everything you need to create the partridges and motifs; full colour instructions and chart, perforated cross stitch paper, Anchor embroidery thread, John James cross stitch needle, ribbon and white backing card.

You will also need a craft knife or some sharp scissor and some glue - PLEASE AVOID SUPERGLUE as it will damage the needlework.
